Looks awesome. I'm getting it in 1080i. I don't think I could have asked for a better picture.
This one was just in time for the MLB playoff post game reports in HD.
Great job D**!

That is correct and if they don't have the BBC's connected they will not be able to see it.

Thanks, now I now that they have the room to spotbeam MSGHD Buffalo Sabres broadcasts because the one YESHD was using no longer is needed.

Wow so will this be the first channel that people with old receivers used to get and will no longer get it?
Glad I convinced my cousin (biggest Yankee fan on the planet) to switch to HR20. Installers are coming next week.

Can someone explain the implications of the national release of YES HD (or SNY HD)? If you do not live in the NY area you will not get the games on these channels unless they are broadcast also on the MLB EI package. So, what have those of us who live outside of NY gained? Does this mean that every MLB EI game that carries the NY feed (as opposed to the opposing team feed) will be in HD or will it only be in HD when it is on 94 and 95? If that's the case why bother, to see the non-games programming?

Question about YESHD. I already had YESHD on 622 as one of my RSNs. This morning I now have 2 YESHD channels: 622 and 684 (I'm pretty sure that's the number as I'm at work now). What's the difference? I was able to get both of them. I know both are MPEG4, are they just coming off different satellites or something now?
(Also, same thing for SNYHD on channels 625 and 683.)

I would think that one of them is off of D10 and the other one is still the spotbeam you were already receiving, not sure though, just a guess.

I believe what it means that next year when MLBEI carries the NY feed you will be able to watch the Mets in HD on SNY regardless of what feed, SD or HD, MLBEI is carrying. Most if not all home games this year were in HD, while MLBEI showed some games in ND. This assumption is also based on the fact that you subscribe to the EI package.

Jnetty99 said "yuck", not "suck."
And, answering your question, the Mets are at home watching the Yanks fail before the World Series again. You'd think $250 million per year could buy at least 1 championship per decade.
Back to the topic....

what??? first the Yankees payroll for 2007 was 189 mil,
Second we already have a WS this decade... hum 2000 against nothing but the METS !!!!
1. New York Yankees $ 189,639,045
2. Boston Red Sox $ 143,026,214
3. New York Mets $ 115,231,663
So who would you rather? 189 Mil and a shot a the WS or 115 Mil and looking at the WS on TV ???
yeah aha...

You've ignored the luxury tax which will cost them $21 million this year. That puts them at $210 million. For that money they should win every year.
But, they look great on YES HD!

So is all programming on YES in HD now, like Yankeeography and Centerstage?

My wife has waited all summer for this! Now she can see Jeter in HD on the Pre & Post Games Shows. Unfortunately, the post season messes with the shows I want to record. (Yes, I am a baseball widower.)

Thursday's a tough call with Earl/The Office, Smallville and the Yanks all on at the same time.
I might boot Smallville to the bedroom since it is the only one of the 3 in SD (no CW HD love yet).
BTW... why does every Yankee hater always say money is the reason they hate the Yankees? As was said earlier, it's not your money, they are the best sports business on the planet so they make the most money (why not reinvest in the ballclub), and money doesn't always guarantee success... it just gives them a huge edge.
Why can't we Yankee and Met fans just get along together in peace? Let's go back to what we do best.... hate the Red Sox and Phillies

To get back to the original topic....
Since YES is part of my RSN, I've had YES HD since I got my 1st MPEG4 receiver in the spring of this year.
Scenario - Game is on my 60" Sony XBR. People would walk into the room and stop dead in their tracks with their mouths hanging open in disbelief. The picture is that good. So sharp, that as I've posted in other threads, there are times when I wish they wouldn't show player closeups (think "Godzilla").....
