Dear god I hope so. Between that, FSN HD, Big Ten Network, CSTV, I am having a meltdown every Saturday having to watch SD College Football Games in betwixt the few HD games on. If I have to watch the NL Playoffs in SD I may have to put in a padded room.

When do they start? The D* website still says "many new" Hd channels will launch in September. So I think you have a resonable chance!

Of course they could just put it on the HD channel(s) that carry the Extra Innings games in HD in MPEG2.

The rumor is tomorrow but who really knows, D* is still shooting for the end of this month sometime (it is the 25th so it should be any day).

I would think TBS and Major League Baseball would be pretty ticked off at Directv if they don't have TBS HD up and running by next week when the playoffs start.
Somehow, someway I think Directv will have the games available in HD. Like was mentioned before even if they have to just put those games on like channel 94 or 95.

Agreed. I am 100% confident that we will get the playoffs from TBS in HD, one way or another.

The same way we get NFL ST. Shutdown TNT-HD!
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't also in MPEG2 for this year. And I wouldn't be surprised if they were only in MPEG4.
BTW, Comcast here is launching TBS-HD on 10/1.

It would be nice if the Pads could give the Cubs a little help and beat the Brewers a couple times before choking.

I'll catch every NL game but skip the AL games the Yanks are in. Just hoping they are out before the WS starts.

I hope they are also in MPEG 2 since, I don't have the fancy 5 LNB dish yet.

Who cares about TBS HD for the playoffs? They are showing the National League. The American League is where it is at.

I have the fortune of getting the Braves on TBS OTA here in metro Atlanta, and they have broadcast in SD all season long until the last week or so. Since then, the games they have broadcast have been in glorious HD. I suspect that if TBS HD is up and running in time over the satellite, you will see it in all its splendor!
